Gorillaz & Little Simz Reconnect For "Garage Palace"
Albarn has also revealed plans for more new music.
Gorillaz may have plans to release another surprise album, but Damon Albarn and his animated musical misfits are still supporting their first LP in six years, April’s Humanz.
Taking to Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, Damon Albarn has unleashed a new Gorillaz record known as “Garage Palace.” A collaboration with tourmate Little Simz, “Garage Palace” was originally part of a group of bonus tracks featured on the expensive “super deluxe” version of Humanz; that release is still available for purchase, and serious Gorillaz enthusiasts can pick up the 14-record vinyl box set for $350 USD. Besides today’s drop, Albarn also intends to release another track known as “Hollywood” and hinted at a Gorillaz, Flume and Mike WiLL Made-It collaboration.

Capping off a successful summer, Gorillaz served up a new, boogie-filled video for the Humanz cut “Strobelite” a couple months ago; soon after, Kaytranada also turned the track into a fresh, funky piece of production.
