Gorillaz Want to Release Another Surprise Album
Who doesn’t like surprises.

After waiting what seemed like a lifetime for the release of Humanz earlier this year, fans may be in for an unexpected treat — another Gorillaz album. Lead singer Damon Albarn has stated that despite currently being on a world tour he’d like the group to release another surprise album, in a similar fashion to that of The Fall back in 2010.
Albarn, who was recently interviewed on Q, said: “I really like the idea of making new music and playing it live almost simultaneously.” He went on to explain how the group would like the new album to “be a more complete record than The Fall, but hopefully have that spontaneity.”
The group still have a number of gigs left on their current tour and Albarn made it clear that while the group “don’t want to wait seven years” to produce more Gorillaz content, they are focused on finishing the ongoing tour.
It’s clear the group still has some big plans and as fans, it’s exciting to know the group is still thinking of innovative ways to push the boundaries. Be sure to keep it locked to HYPEBEAST for upcoming Gorillaz news.
