His first performance since 2008.
Clint Eastwood has returned to the big screen for his upcoming self-directed film The Mule, which sees the 88-year old as a drug runner (Earl Stone) for the Mexican cartel. In the trailer above, we see how his age plays an advantage for his illegal smuggling, and how good he is at his job.
We also get a small look at how his career is affecting his relationship with his wife and daughter. It appears he’s doing it for the money to help his family, but once he realizes the deterioration of his home life and the dangers of his profession, he makes a stand to make his next job his last. Meanwhile, DEA agent Colin Banks (Bradley Cooper) is on the case to take him down. Alongside Eastwood and Cooper is Dianne Wiest and Michael Peña.
