A follow-up to the seasonal sneaker collaboration, Boris Bidjan Saberi‘s 11 rejoins Salomon for a duo of special, painted sneakers. Each shoe boasts a conventional upper, juxtaposed against a painted portion.
Unlike past Salomon collaborations, which used experimental dye treatments to create dynamic patterns, these two shoes sport a hand-dipped treatment that sees a portion of the upper covered in a thick white paint. The treatment differs for each sneaker, making all of the shoes unique; furthermore, over time each sneaker’s paint will wear away, yielding a completely bespoke shoe. Otherwise, the shoes retain the normal detailing seen in the Fall/Winter 2018 sneakers, including a tall shaft, zippered closure and grippy outsole for elevated winter traction.
