TAG Heuer Reveals World's Most Expensive Smartwatch
A 589-stone diamond upgrade.
Having rounded of 2017 with the release of a limited edition version of its Autavia model, TAG Heuer has now entered the new year with something a little special. Taking the coveted title of world’s most expensive smartwatch, the legendary Swiss watchmaker has made some ice-heavy modifications to its Connected Modular 45 timepiece — which already happens to be 18K gold.
The addition of 23.35 carats’ worth of diamonds — an impressive 589 stones — is pretty much the only change to the watch, with the timepiece still running the same technical specifications and the same Android 2.0 system.
The small but noticeable change, however, is enough to bump the price from $1,600 USD to $197,000 USD — although there’s no release information as yet. Meanwhile, in other timepiece-related news, check out Audemars Piguet’s platinum upgrade to the Royal Oak Chronograph.
