Saturdays NYC Hits the Beach for Washed-Out Spring/Summer 2018 Lookbook
Wide silhouettes, organic hues and lush dye treatments.
With its fragment design collaboration still under wraps, East coast casualwear label Saturdays NYC debuts its colorful Spring/Summer 2018 range with a beachside lookbook, showcasing the collection’s loose layers and effortless styling.
Oversized T-shirts boast wide sleeves and dropped shoulders as patterns are underlined by a variety of prints and dyes inspired by Japanese Kasuri dyes & Shibori prints, as well as Indian Batik creations. Wide-legged shorts and creased trousers offer balance to the slouchy layering, which comes in the form of pullover shirts, long-sleeved button-ups, striped shirts and pocket T-shirts. Drawstring trousers and soft, draping outerwear afford the collection its laid-back ease, with deck sneakers and slip-ons furthering those sensibilities. Organic fabrics like linen and lightweight rayon suit the hot weather-friendly designs and ensure comfort regardless of temperature.
Expect the collection to release February 1 in the USA and on Saturdays NYC’s web store.
In related news, SON OF THE CHEESE issued its own hot weather lookbook, centering around camp collar shirts and lightweight layers.
