Richard Mille‘s line of exquisite timepieces continues with the RM 53-01.
A successor to the RM 56-02 of which is also in partnership with polo player Pablo Mac Donough, the openwork watch features a unique system of steel cables and pulleys — the intricate technology allows for not only a stunning display of the innards but an inherit shock-resistant functionality. The RM 53-01 also prides itself in its free-sprung variable inertia balance, high-efficiency winding system and more.
Aesthetic-wise, the RM 53-01 is equipped with a tonneau case for a traditional barrel look, striking aquatic blue strap, accenting and crown, and exposed screws holding the timepiece together. A patterned casing gives the exterior a distinctive characteristic.
Currently the price and availability is unknown, but the Richard Mille RM 53-01 is strictly limited to 30 units upon release. Gucci has also created its timepiece with a look of a tiger’s head, priced at a modest $790 USD.
