Nike SB Celebrates Lewis Marnell in New Tribute Video
The skate icon passed away five years ago this month.
Nike SB celebrates the life of one of the brand’s first Australian skaters with a new visual dedicated to the late Lewis Marnell.
“My name is Lewis Marnell, I come from Melbourne, Australia and I like to skateboard,” are the prophetic words that begin Nike SB’s “Lewis Marnell Forever” retrospective. Before passing away due to complications from diabetes in January of 2013, Marnell had cemented a name for himself as Melbourne’s homegrown ruler of the skate scene. Five years after his tragic death, Nike SB keeps his memory alive with a new visual documenting his body of work.
