Maison MIHARAYASUHIRO Pulls out Past Prototypes for Fall/Winter 2018
Digging in the crates.

Maison MIHARAYASUHIRO debuted its Fall/Winter 2018 collection in Paris — leaning heavily on unreleased creations from seasons past en route to fashioning contemporary pieces aimed at tomorrow. The house dug deep into its archives — pulling out prototypes fit to centralize an entire lineup around. With a baseline concept in tow, the luxury label drew inspiration from modern-day sensibilities, which lent itself to carving out a moment all its own.
With outerwear taking center stage, classic items such as parkas, trench coats, bombers, pea coats and denim jackets took on eccentric twists — at times fusing one with the other. For instance, a parka/trench coat hybrid takes on a Jekyll and Hyde vibe — showcasing disparate looks depending on which angle its viewed from. Quirky accents also feature heavily throughout with tassels, tape measures, chords, straps and cross-body bags doing well to accentuate several key looks.
