Lansky Jones Shares Video for Michael Rapaport & Statik Selektah-Assisted “Eleven Madison Park”
Classic New York.
Produced by three-peat “IAMRAPAPORT” podcast co-host of the year G. Moody, World’s Fair member Lansky Jones delivers a new Big Apple-esque video for “Eleven Madison Park.” The song originally was released earlier last year through his SoundCloud, and then eventually brought to life upon reaching the ears of Will Guidara, co-owner of hospitality group Make It Nice, which owns prestigious restaurants across Manhattan including The NoMad Bar, The NoMad and of course Eleven Madison Park itself. According to the World’s Fair rapper:
“Will found me on Instagram and tagged me in a post saying how surprised he was when he found out a rap song was named after his restaurant and that it was actually good. I checked his Instagram profile, and he even threw the link up in his Bio. Needless to say, I felt honored having my name attached to the number #1 rated restaurant in the world. It was a golden opportunity for me to ask to shoot it on location. He replied that he’d like to meet at the restaurant, and not only did he give us the okay but he told me he had played it for Lyor Cohen, who happens to be one of the restaurant’s investors. Lyor told him it was a great and original song reminiscent of his favorite kind of hip-hop. I told him I need a screenshot of that text! Still waiting on it, but they are really good guys and the food at Eleven Madison is out of this world. I’m happy to have been given the tremendous opportunity to shoot there; they turned down Scorsese!”
Meanwhile, the video itself is Directed by Lansky’s World’s Fair contemporary Remy Banks, which also marks his first foray into music video production after teaming up with Hudson Mohawke last year on “Passports.”
