Edward Crutchley‘s Fall/Winter 2018 is an achievement of wearable art. The British designer concedes street looks through loose fitting long coats, flight pants and more. Immediately captivating are fabrics resembling Greco-Egyptian art; the prints demand visual engagement leaving viewers curious: Is there a narrative or are the motifs just details?
Urban silhouettes see camel brown and red terracotta hues while other choice garments are done in seasonal textiles of black fur and velvet. The eighth collection continues a line of womenswear offering draped taffeta dresses and satin rompers following an initial debut in Spring/Summer 2018.
