Nike Incorporates Komodo Dragon on Latest Mamba Rage
Continuing the silhouette’s animal-inspired concepts.
Nike has returned with another animal-inspired edition of Kobe Bryant‘s Mamba Rage silhouette, this time presenting a Komodo dragon concept. Following a proper snakeskin launch in November, the Mamba Rage saw a scorpion edition in late December and now another reptile graces its design.
For the “Komodo” iteration, the sneaker’s Flyweave upper gets a mix of dark grey, sequoia and black to simulate the color on the body of a Komodo dragon. Its upper is mated with a gum sole bottom and an image of the creature on the heel of the sneaker. Finishing off the details are the Black Mamba’s signature logos placed midway on the lateral outsole and on the tongue.
