Backwood Jones & Valee Deliver Laidback Vibes for the Hazy "Inside"
A dreamy cut from two of Chicago’s most unique talents.
Rising Chicago artists Backwood Jones – formerly YP — and Valee collide and represent different sides of their city’s sound for a new collaborative cut titled “Inside.”
Debuted via its official video, Backwood Jones and Valee’s new joint record comes to us courtesy of director APJ Films and features a hazy, dreamy soundscape from producer RioMac HSP. “Working with Valee was real easy and chill,” Backwood Jones tell us, breaking down the backstory behind today’s arrival. “As you can see, we laughed a lot so it was fun — I got real high.” Judging by the record’s smoked-out, laidback vibes, there were definitely a lot of emptied-out backwoods in that studio.
You can check out Backwood Jones and Valee’s new “Inside” video above. Jones dropped a new project, Blind Alley, back in August of last year and plans to drop another visual with another fellow Chicago talent, Shawna of Disturbing Tha Peace fame, in the coming weeks.
