Aziz Ansari Talks Watches With HODINKEE
The actor and comedian has impressive taste.
For the latest installment of HODINKEE‘s Talking Watches series, the outlet connects with award-winning comedian and actor Aziz Ansari to talk about some of his favorite timepieces.
Speaking to executive editor Benjamin Clymer, Ansari opens up about his own collection and interest in watch-collecting. “I remember when I was young I had those Timex Iron Man watches,” Ansari explains, discussing the origins of his appreciation for watches. “I always had the Indiglos and I wore those when I was a kid.” After deciding to make an “adult move,” Ansari decided to go for a high-quality, eye-catching piece. In his quest to find the right watch, he stumbled upon some particularly-impressive vintage Rolex watches and started to amass a small lineup of timepieces. For the particular purchases he chose to feature in the piece, Ansari went for the Rolex Explorer Reference 1016, Rolex Day-Date With Onyx Dial and Rolex Pre-Daytona Reference 6234.
