Nike Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month with the Air Max 1 “Los Primeros”
Commemorating culture in style.
On September 15, the United States will begin celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month. Scheduled to run until October 15, Nike has decided to honor the month-long commemoration of the Hispanic community’s contributions to culture with a fitting new spin on the Air Max 1.
The new Air Max 1 “Los Primeros” carries a colorway similar to that of the Air Max 1 OG “Sport Red” model, which will be coming back later this year. Adorned in a clash of grey and red, the new “Los Primeros” Air Max 1 boasts a light rubber outsole and the signature Air Max silhouette and look. Adding to the shoe’s theme, it will also come in a shoebox with special “Los Primeros” print.
You can take a look at the new Nike Air Max 1 “Los Primeros” above, while the shoe itself will hit select retailers on September 27.
Last month, Nike also revealed plans for a “Dusty Peach” rework of the Air Max 1.
