Following up on Packer Shoes’ “Reverse Gum” rendition of Reebok’s classic Workout Lo Plus, the activewear giant once again digs deep into its archive — reviving the iconic fitness sneaker in what is being called the “Iconic Tape” pack. The new release spotlights a trio of tonal schemes, including black, white and olive, each of which features premium suede paneling on the heel. A clean white sole unit and branded tongue round out the design.
Playfully riffing on the sneaker’s old-school heritage vibes, the themed tape reference alludes to analog video cassettes — long before Netflix and other such streaming services took over the home-based entertainment landscape. If that weren’t enough, select pairs will even come with a USB storage device — another humorous poke at the VHS tape.
