Baltimore Gets Its Own Nike SF-AF1 Mid
From ‘84 and beyond.
Back in the early ’80s Nike‘s Air Force 1 model made its debut. During that time the Swoosh wasn’t too confident in the sneaker’s future, but Baltimore’s AF1 enthusiast helped keep the model alive which would eventually lead to more iterations being produced. As a homage to the city of Baltimore, Nike has cooked up a commemorative edition of its Special Field Air Force 1 Mid.
The “For Baltimore” version boasts a nostalgic gum sole unit with “B’More” embroidery found on its strap. The year ‘84 is also embroidered on its lateral side and placed on its hangtag as well. Housing the sneaker will be a box with illustrations from artist Ed Piskor highlighting notable names who helped increase the popularity of the AF1.
Launching on September 30, Nike’s SF AF-1 Mid “For Baltimore” will be exclusively available via Downtown Locker Room’s Mondawin Mall and Monument Street locations in Baltimore.
