New Balance Drops a Work Boot-Inspired Trailbuster
Taslan laces meet metal D-rings and a “Wheat” colorway.

After teaming up with Concepts back in May for a Fresh Foam-cushioned overhaul of the silhouette, New Balance is revisiting the Trailbuster for Fall/Winter 2017. This time around, the trail runner gets a more prototypical look, eschewing the mid-top mesh construction of the aforementioned desert-inspired “des Sables,” instead going with a low-top upper of “Dune”-colored nubuck — an obvious nod to work boots. NB even takes the inspiration a bit further thanks to a combination of taslan laces and metal D-rings.
Finished with a speckled midsole and an aggressive outsole, the Trailbuster “Dune” can be picked up now from Las Vegas-based Feature for $130 USD.
