Kaytranada Releases Three Soulful New Songs
These would work perfectly with a verse from Kendrick Lamar or Anderson. Paak.
It’s been a while since Kaytranada has shared some original music but the Montreal producer took to SoundCloud yesterday to share a few new tracks/demos. Untitled and unmastered, the tracks are dubbed “2017 – 38,” “2017 09 01 – SUS” and “2017 07 04.” The first track is an uptempo funk banger; the second is a downtempo, piano-laced hip-hop instrumental; and the final is a groovy, bass-driven, jazzy synth head-nodder with slight Odd Future vibes. The tracks are suitable for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, J. Cole and even D’Angelo — one can dream. Listen to the instrumentals below and revisit Kaytranada’s masterful rework of Gorillaz’s “Strobelite.”
