HBO Announces 'Game of Thrones' Animation 'Conquest & Rebellion'
An in-depth, animated look at Westeros.
The final season of Game of Thrones may be a year — or even two — away, but HBO has something to whet fans’ appetites in the meantime: a new 45-minute animated history included as a bonus disc on the Blu-ray/DVD release of season 7. Conquest & Rebellion will offer fans an in-depth look at Westeros and the history of the Seven Kingdoms leading up to the events of the show’s very first season. Kicking off with the history of House Targaryen in Valyria’s Last Scion, the bonus content features looks at all of the houses of note and is even narrated by stars like Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Sophie Turner, Aidan Gillen, Conleth Hill, and Pilou Asbæk.
Perfect for brushing up on your Westerosian lore, Conquest & Rebellion will be available exclusively to those who pre-order the seventh season of Game of Thrones on Blu-ray and DVD. The sets — along with the exclusive animated bonus disc — are due out December 12.
