Having worked with some of the biggest names in Japanese streetwear, Tokyo’s mo’design has announced a collaboration with Carhartt WIP. The creative agency, which was founded back in 2000 and counts everyone from Stüssy to WTAPS as clients, has given its twist to Carhartt pieces, with graphics and political-style slogans laid over the brand’s classic logo.

Some of the key graphics include the Carhartt name mixed with the word “army” on a hoodie, a T-shirt featuring the phrase “history tends to repeat itself whether you like it or not” and a long-sleeve baring the words “ready made democracy.” Aside from the graphic pieces, the capsule collection also includes some staple pieces such as a hooded coach jacket with Carhartt’s logo given a dripping paint effect. The complete “Carhartt Modes” collection with mo’design is available now to Asia (online and physical stores), with a selection in Carhartt WIP stores worldwide.

As well as releasing its latest collaboration, Carhartt WIP has also recently unveiled its full 2017 fall/winter collection in a new lookbook. If you want to know more about mo’design, you can read our interview with the company’s founder Motoki Mizoguchi.
