Banksy Opens an Official Gift Shop at the Walled Off Hotel
With exclusive art objects.
Banksy has just taken to Instagram to announce the official gift shop for the Walled Off Hotel in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. The secretive artist took over a ramshackle building in Bethlehem last March to open the establishment that is filled with politically-charged works as a response to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Accompanying the announcement of the shop are two newly unveiled art objects: a hand-painted mini souvenir inspired by the controversial barrier wall that divides Israel from the Palestinian territories with his Flying Balloon Girl stencil and a military grade grappling hook made out of a crucifix.
