With the college basketball season right around the corner, Michael Jordan made sure that his alma mater, the University of North Carolina, started off their title defense in style. After winning their third NCAA title in 12 years, members of the UNC Tar Heels men’s basketball team were given a Player Exclusive Air Jordan 6 colorway. The sneakers come decked out in the team’s colors, with the white upper decorated with light blue accents on the collar and along the midsole.
Adding to the sneaker’s look are the numbers stitched along the back side of the shoe. These numbers represent the eight total championships the team has won in school history dating all the back to 1957. Only 25 pairs of the new Air Jordan 6 model have been made, meaning you’ll only see these on the hardwood at Chapel Hill this coming fall.
