Supreme welcomes its first collaboration of the 2017 fall/winter season with tried-and-true footwear label Dr. Martens. And, similar to its previous release that utilized simple suede and a quilted pattern, Supreme and DM remain fairly subdued with this release — a customized three-eye Sacred Heart shoe.
Three colorways of the collection all feature a vintage smooth leather upper and AirWair® cushioning system, with a Sacred Heart embroidered emblem decorating the upper lateral. For those who are unfamiliar, Sacred Heart is a reference to the Roman Catholic devotion that depicts Jesus Christ’s heart as proof of his love and suffering for humanity. The devotion began in the 19th century by Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque who discovered the faith through visual apparitions between 1673 and 1675.
The Sacred Heart three-eye shoe will be available in black, green, and oxblood at Supreme online and stores in NY, LA, Paris and London on August 31, while Japan will see its release on September 2.
