Saint Laurent's Newest Sneakers Hop on the Scribbled Midsole Trend

Reminiscent of the Off-White™ x Nike sneakers.

Next to hop on the pre-distressed and scribbled sneaker trends is Saint Laurent with its latest gamut of luxury footwear. The French fashion house presumably takes a cue from Virgil Abloh’s personalized  Off-White™ sneakers by adding Sharpie-d text on the midsole of its popular Joe mid-top silhouette. “1971 Bad Lieutenant” wording—seemingly from a song lyric—is adorned on the black/white, black/tiger pattern, and cognac iterations, while “Smoking Forever” text is observed on the white/ivory option.

All pairs are made up of fine leather and suede construction yet boast a worn-out sole for what we can only assume is for artisanal flair. Check out the range above and purchase all pairs at Saint Laurent’s official website for approximately $795 USD each.
