J.W.Anderson x Uniqlo's 2017 Fall/Winter Collection Blends Britain and Japan
Bringing together the best of two design worlds.
Uniqlo’s forthcoming collaboration with J.W.Anderson will be dropping in stores soon, and — to celebrate the event — the brands have released the full lookbook for the new collection. When the hookup first announced, the designer spoke about the idea of bringing Japanese functionality together with British design sensibilities, as well as the importance of having affordable price points, saying “Working with Uniqlo is probably the most incredible template of democracy in fashion, and it’s nice that my design can be accessible to anyone, on all different levels.”
The lookbook embodies the coming together of those two worlds, showcasing the collaboration’s reworking of classic pieces such as the trench coat, quilted jacket and broadcloth shirts. Elsewhere there’s loose-fit jeans, chinos, Fair Isle jumpers, and desirable accessories in the form of a quilted tote and backpack. The collection will be available in Uniqlo stores from September 19.
Anderson has been on a collaboration tear at the moment, having recently worked with Converse.
