Matt Damon Stars in the Coen Brothers' New Dark Comedy 'Suburbicon'
Also directed by George Clooney.
George Clooney‘s sixth directorial effort Suburbicon stars Matt Damon with a screenplay from the Coen brothers. The first trailer has been released and features Damon as a 1950s white-collar suburban dad who owes money to the mob and refuses to pay, even after the assassination of his wife. Mobsters soon turn their attention to his son, which prompts Damon to fight back. The trailer features a ton of dark comedic beats, vintage of classic Coen brothers work. Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac and child actor Noah Jupe help round out the cast.
Clooney has a healthy collaborative relationship with the Coens, appearing in O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Intolerable Cruelty, Burn After Reading, and Hail, Caesar!
Suburbicon‘s world premiere will be at the Venice Film Festival, and will be released in US cinemas on November 3, with a UK release scheduled for November 24.
