Here's How Much Money 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Made on Its Opening Day
The film opened as the #1 movie in the world.

According to Box Office Mojo, not only did Spider-Man: Homecoming rake in $15.4 million USD during its Thursday night premiere shows around the world, the latest from Marvel was able to raise approximately $51.2 million USD on its first day. Not only did the achievement make it by far the number one movie at the box office this week, but the impressive numbers also mean that Spider-Man: Homecoming has the third highest opening day box office number of 2017, falling behind only Beauty and the Beast and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The number falls short of the what Spider-Man 3 put up upon its release in 2007, which raised $59.8 million USD (without adjusting for inflation).
According to box office estimates, Spider-Man: Homecoming is projected to bring in somewhere between $125 and $127 million USD over its first three days. If that’s the case, the film will need another week or two to break even on the studio’s budget of $175 million USD.
