Today is day one of San Diego Comic-Con 2017 and with it comes the new teaser for the sequel to Pacific Rim. Formerly titled Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, Pacific Rim Uprising sees John Boyega, Scott Eastwood and Jing Tian enter the world of Jaegars. The brief trailer delves into the innovation of the hulking mechas before showing Boyega himself piloting one. Not much is known about the plot, but the story is speculated to feature Boyega as Jake Pentecost, the son of Idris Elba‘s character from the original film.
