Fast-rising up-and-comers 16yrold and Smokepurpp have been making some serious moves on both sides of the hip-hop spectrum, unleashing a series of cult-favorite records over the past year. Now, the two young artists link up for a new joint single known as “Do What I Want.” Coming on the heels of the standout SahBabii collaboration he dropped earlier this month, 16yrold connects with producer Tony Seltzer to give Smokepurpp the perfect melodic backdrop for him to exercise his pop sensibilities. While Smokepurpp first earned acclaim and support for the harder, darker part of his sound, tracks like this have the potential to seriously shake up the SoundCloud underground.
