Nike Teams up With The Basement On a Pair of Multi-Material Dunk Lows
“Real People Do Real Things.”

With continued teasing of its upcoming Off-White™ collaboration very much still in full flow, Nike has now teamed up with The Basement for a collaborative pair of Dunk Lows. The shoe was designed by 18-year old member of the collective Daniel Pacitti, who focused on combining different materials as a way of reflecting diversity. In a statement, Pacitti said “When designing the shoe, we made each panel a different material to represent the diversity within our community. When they come together, they form something more beautiful and more powerful.” Some of the panels include canvas, corduroy and leather — all using a similar muted color palette on top of a gum outsole. The Nike Dunk Low BSMNT will be available exclusively from a London-based pop-up on July 29 with all of its proceeds going towards the Youth Futures organization. London’s Youth Futures organization provides mentorship programs for local youth and aims to encourage the growth of creativity and sharing stories throughout various outlets of expression.
In further Nike news, VICELAND’s Desus & Mero have also recently received their own shoe from the brand, with the pair showcasing a pair of Air Money Court’s on Instagram.
