Nike & Kevin Terpening Give the SB Dunk a Performance-Focused Makeover
The SB Dunk Low Elite meets the Koston 3.
Nike has enlisted the help of talented professional skater Kevin Terpening to rework, and rejuvenate, the renowned SB Dunk. Using a clean black and blue color palette, Nick delivers a technical, skate-ready option for Dunk enthusiasts. The new silhouette — dubbed the SB Dunk High Elite — is intended to “shake up” the sneaker game, with inspiration coming from the iconic Air Jordan 1, of course.
Details include a knit jacquard material on the toe box, near seamless panels, a larger Zoom Air bag in the midsole, and a Flyknit cuff around the ankle. Terpening said of the shoe, ““I feel more stable, and that my feet are more engaged than they otherwise would be… I’m more aware of the way my foot and board work together.”
The Nike SB Dunk High Elite in Kevin Terpening’s AJ-inspired colorway will be available July 20 on SNKRS, Nike.com and at select Nike retailers. Additional colorways will be available later this summer.
