Louis Vuitton to Debut Tambour Horizon Smartwatch
Something to take your mind off of Supreme x Louis Vuitton.
As luxury brands grapple with an aging customer base, Louis Vuitton is releasing its first Tambour smartwatch worldwide in order to attract the millennial generation. Three models of the Tambour Horizon smartwatch will go on sale, with every part of the watch — including case designs and preloaded apps — developed by Louis Vuitton.
In addition to time, the touchscreen dial displays phone calls, text, email and calendar notifications. The watch can connect to smartphones with Android and iOS operating systems via Bluetooth, and has a function that searches for nearby tourist spots. In addition, functions like “My Flight” feature informs travelers of flight times, gate information, reports of delays, or the number of hours remaining before landing.
The watches will be sold online and at select stores starting from this Tuesday, with prices ranging from ¥277,000 JPY to ¥337,000 JPY (approximately $2,430 USD to $3,300 USD).
