JAY-Z opens up his celebrity Rolodex and brings out enough stars to host his own red carpet run for his latest visual. Last week, JAY-Z chose to put together a montage of clips to support his new studio album’s title track. From footage of Beyonce to documentary clips, Hov put it all in a blender for a new music video. Now, JAY-Z has put together an 11-minute “Footnotes” vignette to accompany the striking “4:44” visual. Enlisting the help of Kendrick Lamar, Chris Rock, Meek Mill, Will Smith, Chris Paul, Aziz Ansari, Michael B. Jordan and several other high-profile stars, JAY-Z delivers a compilation of in-depth interviews. For the subject of his new “Footnotes” short, JAY-Z continues the narrative and theme of relationships and the many struggles they entail.
