F.P.Journe Unveils His First-Ever Split-Seconds Watch
The Swiss watchmaker introduces the Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante.
For Only Watch 2017, the biennial fundraiser for research on muscular dystrophy, Swiss watchmaker F.P.Journe has created its first-ever split-seconds chronograph piece. The Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante is an advanced refined watch that may garner between $200,000 USD to $400,000 USD during the auction. It features a blue chrome dial in addition to a 44mm tantalum case — the largest Journe has created. The Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante also includes a bright orange band, red and yellow accents, plus tachymeter and telemeter scales along the edges.
In 2015, during F.P.Journe’s first time participating in Only Watch, the company contributed the Tourbillon Souverain Bleu in tantalum. It was auctioned for $570,000 USD. Only Watch 2017 is slated to take place in Geneva in November 2017.
