adidas Skateboarding & Bonethrower Get Psychedelic for New Collaboration
Exploring skateboarding in the real and fictional world.
Known best for his psychedelic and abstract art style, Bonethrower has teamed up with adidas Skateboarding for a new collaborative collection. Featuring the bright colors and unorthodox designs that made Bonethrower famous, the collection features two different white shirts in both short and long sleeve featuring a drawing of a skull on the back. There’s also a black track jacket that sports a white and red spider outline.
The collection features a new colorway of the adidas Matchcourt, constructed with a dark blue canvas upper that shows the same spider from the jacket on the tongue and Bonethrower’s branding along the toe box. The collection is rounded off with a six-panel snapback that features the same skull drawing from the tees.
When asked about some of the inspirations behind the collection, Bonethrower says he wanted to combine the real world of skateboarding with the one he created through his art.
The inspiration behind this collaboration was to try and best combine the world of adidas skateboarding with the one I created with YOD. The wizards and warriors of YOD are from a world where every day is a battle for survival and it’s a struggle to get to the end of the day to grab a cold one at the bar with your friends.
