Woody Harrelson becomes Lyndon Baines Johnson for the movie LBJ — he is renowned as the Vice President turned 36th President after the assassination of JFK. Directed by Rob Reiner, the trailer follows Johnson’s struggle as a powerless vice president to being thrust into the Oval Office with his devoted wife Lady Bird (Jennifer Jason Leigh) by his side. Johnson must deal with unrest and championing the historic Civil Rights Act of 1964 that JFK set in motion. Harrelson looks virtually unrecognizable in the role, utilizing prosthetics and significant heft to play the role.
The ensemble cast also includes Richard Jenkins, Bill Pullman, Jeffrey Donovan and Michael Stahl-David. The film is being released nationwide on November 3.
