ASICS Releases the GEL-Lyte OG in a Blue and Yellow Colorway

ASICS recently announced it would celebrate the 30th birthday of its popular GEL-Lyte line by releasing the sneaker in one of its OG colorways, with the orange and black version dropping last month. The brand has now released a second colorway of the GEL-Lyte OG, this time giving the shoe a blue and yellow rework. The latest release features a blue and white upper with a flash of yellow toward the heel of the shoe, like the earlier release it also features a dual-density midsole and signature GEL cushioning.

The blue and yellow ASICS GEL-Lyte OG colorway is dropping on July 7, and will be available from select ASICS retailers including Germany’s Allike store, where it will release alongside a set of pins and socks as well as a fanzine. In addition to the OG GEL-Lytes, ASICS has also recently unveiled a birthday cake-influenced take on the GEL-Kayano silhouette.
