ASICS Brings Back an OG Colorway of the Original GEL-Lyte
ASICS takes it back to 1987.
While fans may be familiar with the likes of the GEL-Lyte III, V, GEL-Sight, and GEL-Saga, few know of — much less, seen — the original GEL-Lyte. Released back in 1987, the kicks were a sleek GEL-cushioned precursor to the GEL-Lytes we know and love today. So, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original, ASICS has brought back the silhouette in one of its OG colorways. Marked by a black and white upper and the usual leather branding stripes, the design is highlighted by mesh and suede construction along with a dash of bright orange, a dual-density midsole, and signature GEL cushioning.
