Chef Matty Matheson, owner of Parts & Labour in Toronto is one of the realest people you’ll meet. His larger-than-life cooking and personality has taken him across the world, creating meals for people and allowing him to explore and discover local cuisines rooted in tradition and authenticity. The VICELAND star uses his DEAD SET ON LIFE show as a platform to showcase the extravagant lifestyle of a celebrity chef. Stopping off in New York for a short stint, Matty dropped by the HYPEBEAST office for our Essentials series.
Always on the move, Matty packs cooking tools in the form of knives, spoons, offset spatula, cake tester and scissors. Every great chef has a preferred pair of kitchen footwear and for Matty, it’s some Gucci clogs. Outside the kitchen, you can see him in some clean Nike Spiridons and Chucks. An assortment of tees and bottoms journey with the chef and some of his must-haves include a ducktail coat, Mark Gonzales x Richardson tee, Palace and Supreme pants, and an Avi Gold long-sleeve. Finally, no fit is complete without some headwear and Matheson prefers his Supreme cap, Gucci beret and Detroit snapback over other options.
