Follow Chef Matty Matheson as He Breaks Down How to Make the Perfect Chicken Yakitori in NYC

After shooting photos with night.shift, painting a mural with Yok and Sheryo, and reimagining vintage with Sami Miro, the final stop on our exploration tour with adidas NMD lands us in New York’s Chinatown neighborhood with chef Matty Matheson. As a foodie and TV personality, Matty has built his name on discovering authentically local cuisine experiences at each of the stops he makes. When HYPEBEAST met up with Matty, it was far from his first time in the Big Apple so instead of hitting a restaurant or returning to an old favorite, he decided to show us how to prep some Japanese-style bites in our own backyard. Matty first picked up some meat and veggies south of Canal Street before heading over to the Bowery to grab some cooking gear. Then it was off to Brooklyn to get to grilling and chilling with some friends.
