ALYX‘s creative director Matthew Williams opens up about his company’s new Vans collaboration for an exclusive new feature from DAZED. Speaking to writer Dominic Cadogan, Williams breaks down what consumers can expect from his brand’s second joint line with one of West Coast’s favorite labels. “Vans are timeless shoes that I know I will like for years to come,” Matthew Williams shares, adding that he “selfishly” built Vans and ALYX’s new collaborative collection around the styles that he personally loves and wants in his closet. As he revealed to DAZED, Williams’ goal was to reintroduce and rejuvenate some of the silhouettes that consumed his attention in his younger years.
