adidas Unveils Fan Designed Kits for Some of Europe's Biggest Football Teams
Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich all get the treatment.
adidas Football has officially unveiled the new third kits for some of the biggest soccer teams in the world, with each kit being designed by one of the club’s fans. As well as Real Madrid and Manchester United, adidas has revealed the supporter-designed uniforms for Italian teams Juventus and AC Milan, and German giants Bayern Munich. All of the jerseys were conceived through the adidas Soccer Creator Studio, a digital platform launched by the German brand to give fans the opportunity to design their club’s shirts.
After fans had submitted their entries, other loyal supporters had the opportunity to vote on them until the most popular designs were shortlisted to a top 100. Once they had reached the shortlist, the top designs for each club were considered by a panel of the team’s most iconic players before one emerged victoriously.
Some of the highlights include Real Madrid’s teal shirt, which was inspired by modern digital design and features a square graphic motif, and the Manchester United design which references an iconic statue of three of the team’s most famous players. Take a look at the kits above, all of them will be worn during the upcoming 2017/18 season, and are available from the adidas web store now.
Once you’ve had a look at adidas Football’s third kits, refresh your memory of the jerseys the brand has already announced for Real Madrid and Manchester United.
