Medicom Unveils Three Jean-Michel Basquiat-Inspired BE@RBRICKs
Immortalizing the famed artist.

Japanese toy manufacturer Medicom has announced a collection of BE@RBRICKs that will pay tribute to the late American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The three toys all feature a different design that reference’s the famed artist’s work and come in the 100%, 400%, and 1000% sizes. Basquiat isn’t the first artist to have his work immortalized by the popular collectible toys, with others including Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock also getting the treatment. The three Jean-Michel Basquiat x Medicom BE@RBRICKS are set to release in December, but with all Medicom artist collaborations being pretty rare, you’ll have to act fast to get one.
2017 has been a record breaking year for Basquiat works, with his 1982 piece Untitled selling for a huge $110 million USD earlier this year.
