Real Madrid & adidas Unveil New 2017/18 Home & Away Kits With an Electrifying Video
The new look of a champion.
After winning La Liga and the Champions League, the ultra successful Spanish football club Real Madrid is revamping its look for the forthcoming 2017/18 season. Designed by adidas, the home and away kits incorporate symbolic colorways, climacool technology and nods to the club’s century of accomplishments.
The home jersey is predominately white and features three vertical turquoise stripes along the shoulders. The turquoise selection was inspired by the sky in the city of Madrid, as it shows up in accents on both the home and away kits. On the left chest there is a Real Madrid heat transfer crest, and at the bottom of the shirt there’s a 1902-2017 stamp, recognizing the team’s 115-year history.
Away jerseys return in black, similar to the club’s 2000 style, but this time with a contrasting turquoise trim on both sides of the torso. To commemorate Los Blanco’s twelfth European Cup victory, a patch is stitched on the sleeve and the shoulder design is symbolic of the path between Real Madrid’s stadium Santiago Bernabeu and the city’s Plaza de Cibeles.
