Gucci Designs An Online Exclusive Ace For MR PORTER

This past May, Gucci released a 43-piece capsule collection that was exclusively designed for MR PORTER. From animal motifs and lavish embroidery to vintage-inspired tailoring, creative director Alessandro Michele made the collection represent perhaps the purest expression to date of the brand’s revamped, maximalist design ethos. This time, Gucci designed an Ace Metallic Leather-Trimmed Printed Satin Sneakers for the online luxury retailer.
Smooth, multicolored satin overlays cover the upper of the shoe — featuring a yellow that that is printed with Gucci’s “GG Wallpaper” pattern. The silhouette is decorated with Gucci’s classic leather and striped trim on the quarter panels with metallic and red heel tabs while the side panels are trimmed with its signature stripped webbing. These shoes are an alternative for those who like to step out into the limelight among the sea of traditional Gucci Ace’s in the streetwear scene.
