The very talented California polymath Ariel Pink has plans to drop a new studio album in the coming months. Following up 2014’s “album of the year” contender Pom Pom, the Los Angeles scene veteran will release Dedicated to Bobby Jameson via Mexican Summer. “His book and life resonated with me to such a degree that I felt a need to dedicate my latest record to him,” Ariel Pink shared in a statement.
An expression of Ariel Pink’s artistic bond with the slept-on LA musician Bobby Jameson, the eccentric artist’s next LP is set to arrive on September and is being introduced by lead single “Another Weekend.”
Debuted via its lo-fi visual, “Another Weekend” charts one more step in Ariel Pink’s creative evolution. Today’s vignette is directed by the renowned director Grant Zinger and hints of western themes.
