Asato Iida is a name that’s becoming increasingly familiar in our scene. Since relocating to the States, more specifically Los Angeles, seven years ago, the Tokyo-native has been tapped by industry stalwarts such as Brain Dead, HUF, and Obey to shoot various lookbooks and collaborative releases, while also being the go-to guy in the West Coast for the likes of GRIND Magazine and POPEYE. He’s also ventured into his first love, music, through the medium of photography by working with Delicious Vinyl and Innovative Leisure on different projects. In what couldn’t be a more fitting union of his two avenues of passion, Asato is set to debut his first-ever collaboration with none other that Japanese fashion giant United Arrows for a jazz-inspired capsule collaboration dubbed “DOLOVE.”
Consisting of vibrant T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts, the six-piece offering features hazy photography depicting pianos, cellos and trumpets, with accompanying lyrics from Asato’s favorite jazz album. The full capsule collaboration will be available for purchase starting June 27 at United Arrows locations across Japan. T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts are priced at ¥8,100 JPY (approximately $73 USD) and ¥9,720 JPY (approximately $87 USD) respectively.
