Tracy Morgan Makes His Return to Stand-Up in Netflix's 'Staying Alive'
Tracy Morgan is back.
Following his horrific car accident in the summer of 2014, Tracy Morgan made a welcome return to comedy in 2015, surprising attendees and viewers with an appearance at the Emmy Awards in September before hosting SNL the following month. Now Morgan is returning to stand-up, linking up with Netflix to launch his very first comedy special since the accident. Appropriately dubbed Staying Alive, the special looks like a return to form for the beloved actor and comedian, but isn’t without its touching moments, too: in the trailer, Morgan recalls being inspired to get out of his wheelchair and walk again after seeing his then 14-month-old daughter take her very first steps.
Watch Morgan make “his return to stand-up to joke about being in a coma, talking to God, and his family’s eccentricities” when Staying Alive hits Netflix on May 16.
