UPDATE: Dezeen recently shared a captivating video showcasing teamLab’s light-based installations on Japan’s Kyushu island. Watch it below.
teamLab never fails to impress viewers with its over-the-top light installations. The design consortium has just transformed Mifuneyama Rakuen park in Japan’s Kyushu island into a dazzling dreamland comprised of six unique light installations. The natural region along with its trees, hills, and ponds are now completely illuminated with colorful LED lights.
More precisely, the Drawing on the Water Surface with Lotus Flowers piece projects koi fish and flowers onto the Mifuneyama Rakuen Pond that react with actual boats passing by. Universe of Water Particles on a Rock in which Resides a God reflects actual water flow onto a 10-foot by 15-foot wide rock. Not to mention, Graffiti Nature – Creatures Living in Ruins of a Public Bathhouse turns an abandoned public bath into a haven for neon-colored animals that interact with visitors.
From a digital waterful to an interactive lily pond, take a look at the slideshow above and head over to teamLab’s official website to learn more. All the aforesaid immersive experiences will be open to the public starting July 14 up until October 9.
